Description
Irial iDentity is a mobile access control system for security companies, airports,
arenas, conference centers and more. The system offers completely
mobile identity checks of persons using state-of-the-art technology.
Modules
Registration
The
registration module allows on-line capturing of personal information
such as name, address etc. The information captured can be tailored
to fit the needs of each particular situation. Persons captured
in the system can be categorised in several ways to allow - for
example - security level coding. In addition to the information
captured, the person's photograph can be recorded instantly using
an attached camera or scanner, or the photograph can be imported
from an image file.
Import module
The import module in Irial iDentity allows import of personal information from
external systems such as visitor registration systems, employee
databases or conference management systems.
Badge production
Personal badges can be tailored for the specific needs in each case. The Badge
design is done by the user and has an intuitive interface which
is easy to learn. Badges can be produced in any format on any media
supported by a Windows printer driver, ie. Paper, Credit-card Size
plastic badges with or without magnetic strip and/or smartcard,
metal etc. The basic requirement for using the full functionality
of Irial iDentity is that a bar code is printed on the badge.
Identity verification
Using a PDA palm-size
computer equipped with a bar code reader and a wireless connection
to the network, the badge is scanned. Based on the bar code, the
recorded information for the person is retrieved and displayed on
the PDA screen. The information is sent in encrypted form to the
PDA to secure the system against eavesdropping. The photograph displayed
can then be visually checked against the person's physical appearance.
Furthermore, the system can record the person's presence in the
area where he/she is scanned. The system can be set up to display
each person's access rights to one or more security areas.
It is also possible to use the system for verification on stationary, bar code
reader equipped PC's
Follow-up
The system has a comprehensive set of reports and statistics to enable follow-up
and tracking of persons during and after the event for which the
system is used.
Implementation
Irial iDentity can be integrated with existing visitor/staff/employee/participant
registration systems with very little effort, or be runněng as a
complete stand-alone system.
